The Bible Answer for Anxiety
1 Peter 5:7

Turn with me this morning to the book of 1st Peter and find the 5 chapter and the 7th verse. Today we live in a much faster paced world than we did 25 years ago. We have gone from the Telephone to the Cell Phone, Parcel Post to E-Mail, and Home Cooking to Drive Thru.

It’s Go Speed Racer Go Speed Racer Go from sunrise to sunset. We panic at the thought of being with out our Pager, Cell Phone, PDA, and Laptop. Our rat race lifestyle in of its self is enough to cause us to become Stressed Out, Worried, and Anxious. Not to mention the Stress, worry and anxiety that comes with our Families, Friends, Jobs, Health, and Finances.  All this has caused a National Health Crisis. I Googled the words Anxiety and Stress and Found over 77 different articles at the American Heart Association alone, Houston we have a Problem. But Thank God He has given us the answer to this problem that affects us all. Let’s Read 1Peter 5:7.  

1.“What” Cast (to Throw off forcefully) it all on Jesus.

          a. What makes you anxious, stressed, and worried?

          Family, Work, Health, Finances?  

b. Throw it all on Jesus He who upholds His creation by the power of His word it a Big enough Savoir to handle your daily anxiety and cares.  

c. Remember Nothing is happening to you that Surprises God Just as in Jobs life there has been a meeting in Heaven and God is superintendening it all. Give it to HIM. 

2. “Where” On Him, Jesus Can Tote the Load (Burden) you have.

a. Jesus has broad enough Shoulders to tote any load you got. That why we sing these songs; Cast all your cares upon Jesus and What a Friend we have in Jesus.

b. He who has spoken all there is into existence, wants to relieve you of the Anxiety, Worry and Stress that causes us to have sleep loss, ulcers, strokes, heart attacks, and heart disease

c. This is a reoccurring Theme from the OT to the NT. Ps 37:5, 55:22, Pro. 16:3, Matt 6 ect.

Why do you think Jesus has said Take my Yoke upon you for my Yoke is easy and my burden is lite? 

3.“Why” Because He cares for you.

a.      You’re his child He will not leave you are forsake you. Read Matt. 6 this week and see too what detail Christ and the Father involve them selves in our daily lives. Hairs # Sparrows that fall. 

b.      Friend might Fail, Money might Fail, Family might Fail But Jesus will never FAIL! He Cares for YOU that is each and every one of his children.

c.      He promises to give us all we need Phil 4:19, just ask vs. 6 God sent His son to save us His Sprit to seal and enlighten us God loves us!  Read Footprints in the sand  

Are you beaten down by life this morning with all its worries, anxiety and cares?  Do you feel Stressed out on a daily basis?

Then Look unto Jesus and Cast all you Cares upon Him because He cares for You.  May be this morning you don’t know this One who bears all our troubles but you can.
