Information about the life and ministry of the bivocational minister's wife. I am
writing an article for the Texas Missions Magazine on "The Silent Partner" and
need some input from bivocational minister's wives. In a day of controversy about the
place of women in the church, there are some minister's wives who are quietly going about
the business of "partnering in ministry" with their bivocational husband. These
partners get very little credit for their hard work.
Please send me some stories of how the bivocational minister's wife helps her husband at
the church. Share with me the joys and hurts of a bivocational situation from the
wife's perspective. Tell me about ministry that would not get done if it were not for her.
I will need names and addresses to give credit where credit is due.
I will need these by January 10.
Thanks,
Ed Hale,
Director - Bivocational/Smaller Church Dept., BGCT

Greetings in the name of Jesus, I am writing to inform you of a need that has been
made aware to me in the past few weeks. I am in communication with a pastor/evangelist in
Kenya who has need of a public address system for speaking to ever enlarging crowds. The
pastor's name is Tobias Kainonge and he lives and pastors in the area of Kenya around
Eldoret.
If anyone has a used P.A. system that is available please let me know. Also please keep
Bro. Tobias in your prayers as he seeks to reach the lost of his area with the Gospel of
Jesus. He is confident that the Lord will provide for his need.
God Bless,
Jon Thompson

I am writing to share with you the ministry that I am doing here in the
Edmonton area of Alberta, I live approximately one half hour west of Edmonton in a very
small community called Onoway.
I have been operating a telephone ministry called "Dial-A-Sermon" since 1981 and
have recently started to minister to people on the "Internet" reaching out to
various newsgroups, what a wonderful opportunity this is for many Christians to participate
in,I am also receiving help from a friend in Vancouver who is helping me set-up a web page
for my "Internet Ministry" which will be called "Lifeline".
I presently work full time as a Supervisor for Canada Post, though have always wished to
go into ministry full time to serve the Lord, I am not an ordained Pastor nor do I have
any "Bible School Training". I have 18 years experience ministering to
people and praying with them over the phone and recently praying with them over the
"Internet", I have also been involved in prison ministry.
My ministry also includes tract distribution to the community by way of door-to-door, I
also write many letters around the World ministering to peoples needs as they contact me.
I do not have any official credentials,e.g. certificate, diploma in ministry, though
I do have Christ in my heart and have a tremendous desire to reach out to people who don't
know Christ and to reach out to those who do know Christ.
I am seeking a Church who would have a need for this type of
ministry, if you don't have a ministry like this in your church and would like to
implement this into your church body, I would ask that you consider me to be a part of
your ministerial team, that is, tract distribution door-to-door within your community,
prison and remand centre ministry ,personal contact work (meeting with people to help them
with their problems), also telephone and internet ministry.
I would also like to introduce a divorce care group within the community which I would be
a part of, I was divorced 11-years ago and have two children Andrew (19) and Matthew
(16) who both stay with their mum in Edmonton.
I know what it's like to go through a divorce and the hurts that go along with it, this is
why I would like to start a divorce care group,I know for sure that ALL churches need
this.
I have since been re-married back in 1993 and have two girls Ashley (5) Melanie (3) and
Stephen (5 weeks) our newest arrival. My wife's name is Wendy, who loves the Lord very
much and is a great encourager. I am originally from Scotland (And still have the
accent to prove it) and immigrated to Canada back in 1978.
If you would have any vacancies within your church for the ministry that I have mentioned,
I would appreciate if you would consider me for this position, I would like, if possible,
to go into full time ministry within your church body, I would ask that you pray about
this and I look forward to hearing from you.
I am very willing to speak at your church about the ministry that I could bring to your
area and to your community.
If you would like a copy of my testimony and also a copy of a newspaper article about my
ministry I would be more than happy to send them to you.
God Bless You as you prayerfully seek the Lord's guidance in this matter.
Yours in Christ,
Chris Turner.
Ambassador for Christ.

Eddy, Texas 76524
Request:We are a ministry in the making. The Lord has given us 24 beautiful acres in Eddy,
Texas. We have a severe burden for the lost. I come from a catholic background and can not
get over the fact that Christians have the answer to prevent folks from going to hell, but
are not aggressively sharing that answer John 14:6/Acts 8:37.The Lord has called me to
start a Soul Winning/Discipleship Training Center and train Him an army of Soul Winners.
Currently, we travel the country and Mexico conducting seminars/training on this subject
and encourage Christians to become involved. We intend to have a teaching facility/Jesus
911 bldg.(70% complete) lodging and dining facility where folks can come and train for a
few days or weeks as necessary and practical. All has been done with donations to include
the purchase of the property, erection of a 40x40 pavilion and 70% of our Jesus 911 bldg.
(40x70). We are in urgent need for windows and doors for our Jesus 911 bldg.
Time is short! 250,00 folks die world wide daily. Will you please pray that the Lord
furnish the funds to complete this much blessed, used and needed ministry.
The windows and doors for The Jesus 911 bldg. are urgently needed. Rainy weather is upon
us and I have twenty beautiful padded pews that were donated by a church in Florida
sitting in there that will get ruined if they get wet.
Not only rainy weather but Hell is also upon The Lost. Your Prayers and any assistance
will be greatly appreciated.

We are a small church in North Dallas. After 10 years of dreaming and praying about it, we
pledged enough money to build our own church with the financial help from Baptist Church
Loan Corporation. Now that the construction is almost finished, we are in need of all
kinds of furniture and church equipments: pianos, classroom chairs, desks, office
equipments, etc.
If your church has some extra stuff, please consider donating them to us. Our empty
building will welcome them.
Thanks and God bless,

a church that has some pews available that they would like to donate, please contact:
Bob Cavin[SMTP:cavin@bgct.org]

We have some theatre type seats available to give to any church or mission that could use
